”The Best Cat in the World” book by Felix Swensson and Carl Sander

In The Best Cat in the World, photographer Felix Swensson and co-creator Carl Sander set out to document and capture the fascinating culture of professional cat shows. A world that may seem strange to outsiders yet a major phenomenon throughout Europe, they portray a realm filled with extremely dedicated cat owners, eccentric judges, fierce rivalries, and an unwavering passion for perfection. What ultimately unites this world is a collective love for cats. This book offers a glimpse into that universe—equal parts spectacle, devotion, and feline charm.

The project began in early 2023, and since then they have visited numerous shows across Sweden as well as the World Cat Show in Strasbourg, France. It has now finally become a finished book! Also onboard is the excellent Carl Michael Ulfstedt, who created the design.
